POPTAP donated $17,500 to the VCU Massey Cancer Center on December 16, 2015. A BIG THANK YOU to all that support POPTAP with their generosity which in turn directly contributes to brain tumor research and education. We are looking forward to our 2016 fundraising activities.
Hi Everyone, We had the best day yesterday. Brian and I had a private tour of the Goodwin Research Lab facility which is part of the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Dr. Justin Sperlazza conducted the tour and explained in terms that we could understand what they do in these labs to learn about cancer cells and treatments. He stressed how much community involvement is needed in supporting their efforts. At the end of our one hour tour we presented a $17,500 check to Lauren Kiger, Assistant Director of Development Events at VCU Massey Cancer Center. (see attached) I thank you for your support and generosity which enables POPTAP to continually contribute to brain tumor research and education.
